Baseball: Marlins' Cabrera hit on elbow, leaves game

Associated Press

MIAMI — Florida Marlins slugger Miguel Cabrera left today's game against Houston with a bruised left elbow after being hit by a pitch in the third inning.

A pitch from Matt Albers hit Cabrera on his protective elbow guard. Cabrera grimaced and consulted with a trainer before walking to first base. He left the game at the end of the inning.

Cabrera was hitting .338 with 27 home runs.
