HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation advises Oahu motorists that the three right lanes of the H-1 Freeway will be closed in the westbound direction, between the H-1/H-3/Moanalua Freeway merge in Aiea to the Waimalu/Pearlridge offramp, from 5 a.m. until 10 a.m. this morning for roadway inspection.

As part of periodic routine inspections, crews will be checking the concrete material laid down along the H-1 Waimalu Viaduct as part of the recent H-1 widening project. Data collected as part of the inspection will be used for future concrete repair work on Hawaii freeways.

Drivers will be allowed to exit at the H-1 Waimalu/Pearlridge offramp during the morning lane closure.

Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work area and to allow for extra travel time.
