Kauai landfill presentation to be held Thursday

Kaua'i County's Public Works Department will make a presentation on the proposed expansion of the Kekaha Landfill Thursday at the Waimea Neighborhood Center at 7 p.m.A draft environmental assessment describing the project is available for review at public libraries in Waimea and Lihu'e on Kaua'i and also at the state library's main branch on O'ahu and the Hawai'i Documents Center.
Public comment on the draft environmental assessment is being accepted until Aug. 24.
