Behr paint company founder dies at home in Hawaii

Otho Behr, who founded the Behr Process paint company

in 1947, died Friday of natural causes at the age of 92 at his home in

Kailua, Hawaii.

Behr Process, a unit of Santa Ana, California-based Masco Corp., makes

paints, decorative finishes, primers, stains, waterproof applications and

surface preparation products that are sold exclusively by Home Depot Inc.,

the company said yesterday in a statement.

Behr is survived by two sons, three stepsons and nine grandchildren.

Services will be held tomorrow at his home with burial in Modesto,

Calif.
