Willard Wilson award winner announced

The University of Hawai'i has announced the David Y. Iha is the recipient of the 2007 Willard Wilson Award for Distinguished Service to the University.

Iha has more than 40 years of employment service to UH and is currently fulfilling an approved position in the Incentive Retirement Program at 40 percent with the UH Office of the Board of Regents. In October 2006, he retired as Secretary to the UH Board of Regents after serving for nearly nine years.

Prior to serving as the executive responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the administrative support services for the BOR, he served as provost of Kaua'i Community College for 16 years, director of administrative services at Kaua'i Community College for 12 years, and held many budget positions throughout the UH system.

Iha will be recognized along with other UH award winners at a systemwide awards ceremony in September.
