Taste of the Range tickets on sale now

Tickets are on sale now the annual, popular food festival, A Taste of the Hawaiian Range, on the Big Island. The event is set for Sept. 28 at the Hilton Waikoloa Village and it celebrates diversified agriculture on the island with products that range from grass-fed beef to chocolate.

More than two dozen celebrity chefs will be assigned a food product and asked to create something with it.

This is the 12th annual Taste, sponsored by the Cooperative Extension Service of the University of Hawai'i at Manoa's College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources.

Tickets for the grazing and tasting event are $35 now; $70 at the door. They're available at a number of Big Island sites; call (808) 322-4892 order by mail from the Web site: www.ctahr.hawaii.edu/taste.
