NFL: Broncos' Jarvis Moss injures left knee in drills

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Denver Broncos first-round draft pick Jarvis Moss injured his left knee during 1-on-1 pass-rush drills today and was taken off the field for medical tests.There was no immediate word on the extent of his injury.
Moss, who signed a five-year, $18 million deal on July 28, was injured when he did a spin move past an offensive lineman, then began hopping on one leg before crumpling to the grass. He stayed down for five minutes before getting up and walking gingerly to the sideline. He got into a cart and was taken to the locker room.
The defensive end from Florida was the 17th overall selection in the NFL draft. He was expected to provide the Broncos' pass rush with some much-needed help.
Last week, linebacker Warrick Holdman suffered a spinal cord concussion during practice and was hospitalized. He returned to the sideline Saturday but has yet to be cleared to return to action.
