Is your beauty routine dipping into your morning sleep? Plan it right and you may be able to shave precious moments with these tips from Real Simple magazine: If you've properly washed your face the night before, your skin may still be clean and fresh when you awaken, so a splash of warm water is all you need. Also, double up on a sunscreen that's also a moisturizer to trim a minute or two. And now's the time to cut back on the exfoliating, which can open you up to sunburn.

KEEP IT HEALTHY

GET THOSE DAILY FRUITS AND VEGGIES

Eating out healthfully has never been easier. Here in Hawai'i, lunch wagons are offering green salads; restaurants almost always have fresh fruit for dessert — and where can't you find a side order of vegetables? While dietary guidelines recommend at least five fruits and veggies a day, the optimal level is nine to 13 servings daily. Check out the state Department of Health's campaign: www.healthyhawaii.com.

FINAL WORD

"We realize that climate change is a fact. But we're not going to speak about global warming, or how or why. We're convinced that we still don't know."

Monsignor James Reinert | of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, in USA Today
