Advertiser Staff

Gov. Linda Lingle released $10.2 million for construction of a classroom building at Kea'au Middle School.

The new facility will include five science classrooms, an industrial technology classroom, a special education classroom, a faculty center, a computer resource center, a student services coordinator/educational assistant office, a custodial closet and a mechanical communications room.

The governor previously released $645,000 for design of the building, which is expected to be completed in December.

Construction is to begin in August 2008 and is expected to be finished in July 2009.
