Douglas Emmett reports net loss in second quarter

Douglas Emmett Inc., a real estate investment trust that has Honolulu office buildings and apartment complexes in its portfolio, reported second quarter funds from operations of $48.7 million, or 29 cents a share.The Santa Monica, Calif.-based REIT said it had a net loss of $1.3 million, or 1 cent a share, during the three months ended June 30.
