DUI arrests up 6 percent on Big Island

Police on the Big Island arrested 18 motorists for drunk driving last week, raising the number of DUI arrests this year 766, up 6 percent from the 724 arrests made over the same time span last year.Seven of the drivers were involved in traffic crashes last week; two of the drivers were under the age of 21.
