TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Power of 10" debut, 7 p.m., CBS. There's an infectious quality here. It's a play-along, guess-along game that's fun. Contestants guess the results of a poll. What percentage of people feel they are smarter than George W. Bush? Or sometimes skip underwear? Or worry about global warming? "Power" tests our ability to judge human nature. Drew Carey hosts in a breezy, unobtrusive manner; you'll see why CBS promptly chose him to take over "The Price is Right." The game starts with a two-player face-off. Then the winner goes for the big money. With each question, the money jumps ten-fold (starting with $1,000) and the margin of error shrinks. Indeed, the money size is the only flaw; it shortens the game and shrinks the fun.

"House," 8 p.m., Fox. Dave Matthews gives a quietly affecting performance as a savant piano player with a mysterious medical problem. Also in this strong rerun, Dr. House is sending notes and samples to another hospital.

OF NOTE

Political forum, 1 p.m., MSNBC. Democratic presidential candidates meet in front of AFL-CIO union people.

"Spider-Man 2" (2004), 4 p.m., FX. On Sundays, Alfred Molina is superb as a master spy in TNT's "The Company." In between, catch him here as the villainous Dr. Octopus.

"The Bill Engvall Show," 6 p.m., TBS. The story here is exceptionally lame, with Bill's wife deciding to sell muffins. What redeems it is some delightful, straight-faced humor from the two teens.

"Bring It On" (2000), 7 and 9 p.m., ABC Family. Kirsten Dunst faces herself. She's a cheerleader here and Spider-Man's love interest on FX.

"Gabriel Iglesias: Hot and Fluffy," 7 and 9 p.m., Comedy Central. The good news is that Iglesias is brilliant at sounds and voices. The bad news is that his material is sparse. We're halfway into the hour before he offers some clever material.

"Damages," 7 and 8:05 p.m., FX. Tonight, the fierce Patty Hewes (Glenn Close) is thrown off by a threat.

"Primetime Crime" (8 p.m.) and "i-Caught" (9 p.m.) debuts, ABC. These six-week series will finish out the summer. The first studies real crimes. The second looks at the surge of images from cell phones, surveillance cameras and more.
