Advertiser Staff

A 21-year-old man was indicted today by an O'ahu grand jury on charges of cashing three forged checks in two days last month on the account of a Honolulu couple.

The eight-count indictment charged Edward Keoulu Paulo with identity theft, forgery, theft and unauthorized possession of confidential personal information.

On July 11, Paulo allegedly cashed two checks at American Savings Bank for $3,865 and $4,000, and returned the next day to cash a check for $8,977.

A warrant was issued today for the arrest of Paulo, who had been released on $20,000 bail.
