ID theft fugitive nabbed in Makakilo

An identity-theft suspect wanted for questioning in a fraudulent credit card investigation was arrested today by police in Makakilo.

Neil Robert Driskell, 36, who has no permanent local address, was also wanted for parole revocation and two outstanding warrants totalling $1,250.

Pearl City Crime Reduction Unit officers arrested Driskell on the H-1 Freeway near the Makakilo offramp at 2 p.m. Police planned a warrant search of his vehicle because the butt of a gun was seen in his car.

Driskell, who has 15 prior convictions, was booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, driving without a license, the outstanding warrants and for parole revocation.

He was also arrested for second-degree identity theft, unauthorized possession of confidential personal information, second-degree forgery and fradulent use of a credit card.
