Police searching for alleged purse snatcher in Waikiki

Police in Waikiki are looking for an alleged purse snatcher this morning.The incident occurred before 2:30 a.m. near Kuhio Beach. A caller told police a large male — dark complexion, approximately 300 pounds with black hair, a black T-shirt and jeans — allegedly stole a purse from a woman near the Kuhio Beach area.
The man fled on foot and the woman reportedly tried to follow him.
