Paula Fuga tours islands for new Lilikoi Fair Sept. 6-9

Advertiser Staff

With her debut CD and a Na Hoku Hanohano award under her belt, Paula Fuga is already giving back to the community in a big way. The Waimanalo-raised singer has organized the Lilikoi Fair, which will tour O'ahu, the Big Island and Maui in September.

Taking part in the moveable music-and-arts feast are Brooklyn-based spoken-word duo Climbing Poetree, New York-based singer Sparlha Swa, O'ahu's The Girlas and Tempo Valley, Maui's Lawa, and the Honolulu clothing label Kealopiko.

The tri-isle tour is a fundraiser for Fuga's new Lilikoi Foundation, which focuses on the empowerment of

women, especially those who are young and at risk.

Lilikoi Fair schedule:

9 p.m. Sept. 6: The O Lounge, Honolulu; $10 in advance, $15 at the door.

6 p.m. Sept. 8: Kona Beach Hotel, King Kamehameha Luau Grounds, Kona, Hawaii; $21 in advance, $26 at the

door.

4 p.m. Sept. 9: Mulligan's On The Blue, Wailea, Maui; $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
