New triathlon shop holds grand opening Saturday

New Kaimuki triathlon shop Momentum MultiSport will hold its grand opening celebration from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Owned by Nguyen "Wen" Le, the shop stocks bicycles, clothing and accessories.

And Momentum is a green business. "All Momentum employees bike to work, and we use low-wattage light bulbs and environmentally-friendly products in each area of our operations — from shopping bags to cleaning supplies," said owner Le.

On hand in the shop are bike mechanics Tom Captis and Keith Nishimoto who will work on not only bicycles but also wheelchairs and " virtually anything that runs on human-powered wheels" said Nguyen.
