Mission Houses Museum seeking docents

The Mission Houses Museum is offering docent training for those who are interested in Hawai'i's history and can commit to a six-session educational program conducted every other Tuesday over a 12-week period. Deadline for sign-up is Aug. 13; training begins Aug. 14

Hawaiian and Japanese language speakers are especially encouraged to apply.

An $85 fee coves materials, speakers and museum membership.

The class will work interactively, interpreting material from primary sources, discussing approaches for communicating with guests and offering feedback to each other in guided touring.
