Kumu Kahua begins online ticketing

Tickets to Kumu Kahua productions now are available online, beginning with the downtown theater group's first production of its new season, Bryan Hiroshi Wake's "Ala Wai," which opens Aug. 23 with a run through Sept. 23.

The site is www.honoluluboxoffice.com. Reservations still are possible via telephone charge, at 536-4441, and on-site box office sales are under way at Kumu Kahua headquarters, at 46 Merchant St, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays and prior to curtain time.

Curtain time is 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays.

Tickets: $16 general, $13 seniors and groups of 10 , $10 students for Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances; $13 general, $11 seniors and $5 students and the unemployed for Thursday shows.
