Oregon man dies after being pulled from waters off Laie

A 53-year-old Oregon man apparently drowned today in waters off La'ie, police said.Firefighters pulled the man from the water at Pounders Beach about 3:30 p.m. They administered cardio-pulmonary resuscitation until paramedics arrived.
The man was pronounced dead at Kahuku Hospital.
His name was not released.
