Holualoa woman is Big Island's 23rd traffic fatality

Big Island police today identified the woman who died yesterday in a pickup truck crash on Saddle Road as Rhonda Bennett-Holloway of Holualoa.Bennett-Holloway, 46, was driving a 2006 Ford Ranger east on Saddle Road, six-tenths of a mile west of the 27-mile marker, at 10:19 a.m. when she apparently lost control of the pickup, police said.
Bennett-Holloway was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the truck, police said. She died at Hilo Medical Center yesterday at 2:05 p.m.
The death is the Big Island's 23rd traffic fatality of the year.
