Lots of sunshine expected today, wind and clouds later

Today's weather forecast calls for sunny and warm conditions, but forecasters at the National Weather Service said winds and showers will begin as early as Monday even though Hurricane Flossie is not expected to pass to the south of the Islands until Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Here's a closer look at what to expect during the next few days:

Today, sunny. Highs 82 to 89. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 68 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday, sunny. Isolated showers in the afternoon. Highs 82 to 89. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 68 to 77. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 82 to 89. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
