Hilo routs Saipan in World Series (ages 14-16) opener

Hilo defeated Saipan, 17-2, in the Little League World Series for ages 14-16 today in Bangor, Maine.Hilo will play Cartersville of Georgia tomorrow.
Hilo is in a grouping that has Saipan, Canada, Georgia and Maine. The top two teams from this group will advance to the World Series semifinals set for Friday.
