UH offering season-long football promos, discounts

University of Hawai'i students will get a free ticket to the Warriors' football opener against Northern Colorado as part of season-long fan promotions and ticket-discount programs for the seven home regular-season games.

The ticket-savings promotions are for students, families, season-ticket holders, alumni, military, keiki and large groups, as well as continuing the popular CreditBack card and H-Mail discount programs. Some promotions will be for certain games, while others, such military discounts, last for numerous games.

In addition, the "Family Fun Zone," which offers free rides and activities for children prior to the game, will once again be available in the north concourse of Aloha Stadium.

UH opens its season Sept. 1 against Northern Colorado. The Stan Sheriff Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., except holidays.

Here are the promotions:

"Student Night" vs. Northern Colorado, Sept. 1

All UH system students will receive a free ticket to the "Student Night" game against Northern Colorado. Students must pick up their ticket at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office in advance by showing their valid UH identification card. They also need to present their I.D. at the stadium entrance on game night (Gate 7).

"Family Night" vs. Charleston Southern, Sept. 22

Tickets are just $20 each for special "Family Night" sections in the north and south end zones. A minimum of four tickets must be purchased and there is a maximum of 12. Tickets can be purchased online by visiting HawaiiAthletics.com and clicking on the "Family Night" button. For those without computer access, tickets can also be purchased in advance at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office. Tickets are limited. Other restrictions may apply.

"Season-Ticket Holder Appreciation Night," vs. Utah State, Oct. 6

UH season-ticket holders in the sports of football, men's and women's volleyball, men''s and women's basketball, or baseball will receive two tickets for the price of one (maximum of eight). UH season-ticket holders can purchase their tickets in advance at the Stan Sheriff Center or online at HawaiiAthletics.com. Click on the "Season-Ticket Holder Appreciation" button and enter your ticket account information. Tickets are in special sections and are limited. Other restrictions may apply.

Alumni Savings at Homecoming Game vs. New Mexico State, Oct. 27

UH Alumni Association members will receive two tickets for the price of one (maximum of eight). A valid Alumni Association membership card is required when purchasing tickets at the Aloha Stadium Box Office in advance or on game day. This discount is available at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office in advance only. Tickets are in special sections and are limited. Other restrictions may apply.

"Military Night" vs. Fresno State, Nov. 10

In honor of Veteran's Day, members of each branch of the Armed Services will be honored during a special "Military Night" halftime ceremony. Also, all active, reservists, and retired members of the military will receive two tickets for the price of one (maximum of eight). A valid military identification card is required when purchasing tickets at the Aloha Stadium Box Office in advance or on game day. This discount is available at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office in advance only. Tickets are in special sections and are limited. Other restrictions may apply.

"Think Green Night" vs. Boise State, Nov. 23

Fans are encouraged to wear green shirts to the Warriors' nationally televised game against the defending Western Athletic Conference champion Broncos. Also, fans are encouraged to make signs using the ESPN acronym and/or signs that tout Colt Brennan for the Heisman Trophy. Fans judged to have one of the "Top 10" signs will receive a special prize and have the chance to compete for a Trip For Two to Las Vegas.

"Senior Night" vs. Washington, Dec. 1

The members of the UH senior class will be honored during a "Senior Night" ceremony that will follow the Warriors' nationally televised game. Fans are encouraged to make signs using the ESPN acronym and/or signs that tout Colt Brennan for the Heisman Trophy. Fans judged to have one of the "Top 10" signs will receive a special prize and have the chance to compete for a Trip For Two to Las Vegas.

UH Kids' Club Ticket Discount For First Four Games

For the first four games, members of the 2007-08 UH Kids' Club will receive two-for-one ticket discounts (maximum of four). A special promotional code will be included on the keiki's membership cards that they will receive with their T-shirts and Hanai Bear certificates when registering at any Papa John's Pizza Hawaii store on Oahu. Military Receive Ticket Discounts For First Five Games

Active, reservists, and retired members of the military will receive two-for-one ticket discounts (maximum of eight) to UH's first five football games of the 2007 season. A valid military identification card is required when purchasing tickets at the Aloha Stadium Box Office in advance or on game day. This discount is available at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office in advance only. Tickets are in special sections. Other restrictions may apply.

Group Discounts Available For First Four Football Games

Group discounts will be available for the first four football games. For groups of 20 people or more, ticket discounts will be extended and the savings per ticket will increase based on the size of the group. For more information, call the UH athletics marketing office at 956-9630.

H-Mail Subscribers Receive 25 Percent Savings On Tickets

Subscribers to H-Mail, the UH athletics department's weekly e-newsletter, receive the benefit of special ticket savings at select UH sporting events. Just click on the "H-Savings" coupon in the weekly H-Mail and follow the online purchase instructions. You will automatically receive a 25 percent discount on your ticket purchase. If you are not currently an H-Mail subscriber, visit HawaiiAthletics.com and click on the H-Mail button to register.

UH CreditBack Card offers Free Tickets & Great Savings

The UH CreditBack Card provides fans with special offers on tickets to UH men's and women's sporting events and a variety of discounts at more than 250 Oahu retail outlets. Fans purchasing the UH CreditBack card, which is $35, will receive a voucher for two free tickets to a UH sport of their choice (based on availability), as well as the opportunity to receive four tickets for the price of three whenever they purchase tickets at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office. Additionally, fans will receive a voucher for a free UH ticket each time they make $200 or more in ticket purchases. This offer valid for individual-game ticket purchases and not season tickets. Other restrictions may apply. The UH CreditBack card is on sale at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office.

"Family Fun Zone" In The North Concourse for all games

The "Family Fun Zone," which will be located in the stadium's north concourse (near Gate 7), will feature thrilling rides, exciting contests, and fun-filled inflatables. In addition, keiki will receive UH posters and schedule cards and win tickets to upcoming UH sporting events. "Family Fun Zone" activities are free and begin when the stadium gates open and continue until game time. For games starting at 6:05 p.m., the stadium gates open at 3 p.m.

No Alcohol Permitted In "Family Zone" Seating Area

UH will continue to designate sections V and VV (orange level) in the north end zone of Aloha Stadium as the "Family Zone," where alcohol consumption is prohibited in the seating area.
