Pearl City wins World Series (ages 13-14) opener

Pearl City hammered Anderson (South Carolina), 17-7, today in the Little League Juniors (13-14 years old) World Series in Taylor, Mich.Pearl City loaded bases five different times en route to victory in its first game of the tournament.
Pearl City will play Middletown Little League (New Jersey) tomorrow. The New Jersey team is 1-1 in the tournament after falling 1-0 today Del Mar of Laredo, Texas. Del Mar is 2-0 in the tournament.
The top two teams in this pool will advance to the United State Championship Friday. The winner advances to play the International pool champion for the overall title on Saturday.
