  • Damon Hylton, who was one of the first 15 Hawai'i Superferry employees hired last fall, has been named director of marketing for the interisland ferry company. He will continue to oversee all marketing, including advertising, promotions, revenue management and e-commerce. John Medlock, a 15-year veteran in marketing, has been named manager of marketing and promotions for the company. Toby Holt, the manager of e-commerce, will oversee online marketing, the company website and promoting the company's frequent traveler program, while partner sales representative Allie Teruya will work with the frequent traveler program.

  • Former Honolulu Advertiser retail sales manager Diane Aucott-Ward has joined the sales and marketing executive team at KHNL-TV (KHNL NBC 8) and KFVE-TV (K5 The Home Team). Before joining The Advertiser, she spent more than 12 years in TV and radio media sales.

  • Miranda Scott has been named director of business development for Hawaiian Airlines, primarily responsible for managing Hawaiian's online agency partners, increasing online sales, merchandising travel-related products on the website, and overseeing Hawaiian Airlines Vacations packages.

  • Outsource employee administration firm ProService Hawai'i has named Benjamin Ancheta Jr. chief operating officer. He will oversee company payroll, benefits, account management, information technology and human resources services departments. Also joining the firm as corporate counsel Sept. 4 is former state labor director Nelson Befitel. ProService Hawai'i is the state's largest employee outsourcing firm, providing employee administration services, including payroll, human resource services, health benefits, and workers' compensation and 401(k) management.

  • Maui native and veteran communications professional Teri Freitas Gorman has been promoted to vice president of corporate communications for Maui Land & Pineapple Co. Inc. Gorman joined ML&P in January, 2006, as director of corporate communications, and, in March this year, was named vice president, communications, for company subsidiaries, Maui Pineapple Co. Ltd. and Kapalua Land Co. Ltd.

  • LEE TOKUHARA has been promoted to vice president at Bennet Group Strategic Communications. She will oversee a variety of clients, especially those with community relations and public affairs/public policy needs — including Whole Foods Market, Maui Land & Pineapple Co. Inc., Bank of Hawai'i, Verizon Wireless and D.R. Horton Schuler Division
