WAIMEA
Wright Park to close for 3 days

Advertiser Staff

The county will close Lucy Wright Park Sept. 4 to 6, (Tuesday through Thursday), but it is scheduled to be reopened in time for the weekend.

The park, which lies at the mouth of the Waimea River just below the Waimea Bridge, will be closed for safety reasons to camping as well as other public uses.

Those seeking to use beach parks are urged by the county to consider other county and state facilities.

Electrical power to the park comfort station will be turned off as electricians relocate the park's main power panel.

For more information, call the Department of Parks and Recreation at 241-4460.
