Advertiser Staff

The Hawai'i Tourism Authority has awarded $50,000 to Hawai'i Health Guide for its statewide healing garden festivals.

A festival was held on Kaua'i last month. Others will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 25 at Waimea Valley Audubon Center; Oct. 6 at Maui Community College; and Nov. 2 and 3 at Amy Greenwell Botanical Garden in Kona.

The festivals, in their third year, celebrate the state's unique medicinal and nutritional plants and feature herbalists, growers, cultural practitioners, healing art professionals, artists and educators with programs for children and adults.

Cost is $5 and free to children 13 and younger.
