Advertiser Staff

A body of a man recovered from the water this morning near Kualoa is believed to be that of a missing diver, police said.

The witness called police between 7 and 8 a.m. to report a body floating in the area of the 49-800 block of Kamehameha Highway.

The man was wearing a wetsuit, police said.

Coast Guard, fire and police have been searching since early Sunday morning for a 38-year-old Hawai'i Kai man who was reported swept out to sea by companions while diving at Ka'a'awa.
