Woods nominated to head small business group

Lynne Woods has been nominated for a fourth term as chairwoman of the Small Business Regulatory Review Board.

Woods is co-owner of Keller Williams Realty on Maui and served on the focus group that wrote the legislation that created the board. She also spent 11 years as president of the Maui Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to Woods, Sharon Pang was nominated to serve as vice chair of the board for a second year. Pang is owner of Care Companions and Consulting. Michael Yee, owner of EnviroServices & Training Center LLC, was nominated as second vice chair.

The 11-member Small Business Regulatory Review Board is appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Senate. The Board is responsible for providing recommendations to state and county agencies on new and amended administrative rules that directly impact small businesses. The board also is charged with reviewing existing rules at the request of small business owners.
