New 'Olelo TV center to open

The grand opening of 'Olelo Community Television's newest community media center takes place from 10 to 10:30 a.m. today at Waipahu Intermediate School at 94-455 Farrington Highway.

Lt. Gov. James "Duke" Aiona will speak.

The media center, the seventh on the island, offers both students and people in the community the resources to share their stories via public, educational and governmental access television.

Hours of operation for the public are from 2 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays.
