Ocean Club to hold final Piranha Room party Aug. 25

Ocean Club will be throwing the final edition of its monthly theme-driven party The Piranha Room on Aug. 25.Known for the long lines of fashionably dressed club kids once regularly queuing early behind its velvet rope, a local-celeb-studded V.I.P. section hosted by party co-founder fashion photographer/promoter Russell Tanoue and thematic bashes that ran the gamut from toga parties to Playboy magazine-approved pajama parties to circus nights, the Piranha Room debuted in December 2001.
Tanoue stopped hosting Piranha Room in late 2006, but the monthly continued for another year.
The Piranha Room's final party will be themed "Demolition." The queue begins at 8 p.m.; the party concludes at 4 a.m.
The event will be open to ages 23 and over only.
