San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Nolan answered many questions on sf49ers.com following Monday's exhibition loss to Denver, including one about receiver Ashley Lelie.

Lelie, a former University of Hawai'i star who was drafted in the first round by Denver, signed with the 49ers as a free agent in the offseason.

Lelie is listed as a third-team receiver.

Nolan was asked: "What does Ashley Lelie need to do to spend time with the 2's (second team) or even the first group this offseason?"

"He just has to keep working. He works with the 2's and the 3's quite often. You can never tell. Stay tuned," Nolan said.

Nolan was less specific when asked about another former UH star, defensive lineman Isaac Sopoaga.

Nolan was asked, "How did Isaac (Sopoaga) and Joe (Cohen) play?"

Said Nolan: "I'm going to be less specific and add in that the D-line as a whole need to improve."
