SHOP GREEN

TOTE GROCERIES IN STYLE

No need to bid an astronomical price on eBay for an Anya Hindmarch canvas shopping bag or wait until Whole Foods opens here. You can begin shopping green right now with a local-style tote bag that can hold groceries, sundries and any other shopping scores.

These clever made-in-Hawai'i cloth bags called "Ba-gu" and "Bento Ba-gu" (get it?) are the creation of Irene Kawaguchi, owner of Wabi-Sabi boutique in Kaimuki. Priced from $8 to $24, they'll last for years and won't damage the 'aina.

Now just say, "No need plastic, mahalo." Information: 734-3693.
