Crews responding to 3rd brushfire in Waianae area

Wai'anae firefighters have been sent out on their third brushfire call of the morning, this time to extinguish a fire reported to be at the end of Pahe'ehe'e Road in Wai'anae.

Earlier today, a crew from the Wai'anae Fire Station was sent to extinguish a fire at Kea'au Beach and a second brushfire at Ka'ena Point.

The latest fire was reported about 10:20 a.m.

Six additional fire companies — two from Nanakuli, a second unit from Wai'anae, and one from Makakilo, Kapolei, Waikele, respectively — have also been dispatched to the third fire.
