Advertiser Staff

Firefighters from the Olomana Fire Station are being sent to extinguish what is being described as a small brushfire behind the Wai'anae Fire Station.

The Olomana crew was already en route to Wai'anae to join the battle against a major brushfire near the site of the former Toledo Dairy off of Pahe'ehe'e Road.

Firefighters from the Wai'anae Fire Station have been battling the Pahe'ehe'e fire since about 10:30 this morning.

A total of 11 fire companies are now working on the Pahe'ehe'e fire.
