Lahaina biotech company gets $3M in venture capital

InCode BioPharmaceutics Inc. in Lahaina received $3 million in venture capital from Avalon Ventures during the second quarter, according to the PriceWaterhouseCoopers Moneytree survey. The company is developing therapeutic compounds to treat autoimmune disorders.Hawaii Bioenergy LLC in Honolulu received $200,000 from Finistere Partners, according to the survey. The company is researching crops for renewable biofuel production.
