HELCO's emergency phone number back in service

Hawaii Electric Light Co. reports that its normal emergency phone number is repaired.Customers should call 969-6666 to report emergencies involving power interruptions, downed lines or other problems with electrical service. Call 935-1171 for non-emergency calls.
HELCO announced that its normal emergency phone number was out of service on Tuesday when the Big Island was addressing the anticipated impacts from Hurricane Flossie.
