Wilson makes cut, McLachlin doesn't in golf tournament

Former Hawaii residents Dean Wilson and Parker McLachlin both shot under par but only Wilson made the cut today at the Wyndham Championship at Greensboro, N.C.

Wilson, a former Kaneohe resident and Castle High alum, had five birdies over an 11-hole span today to shoot a 4-under-par 68 and finish with a two-round total of 6-under 138.

McLachlin, a former Honolulu resident and Punahou School alum, shot a 1-under-par 71 today to finish at 3-under 141.

But the cut was 5-under, leaving McLachlin out of weekend play.

Jeff Overton closed his 5-under 67 with consecutive birdies to move to 12-under 132 and share the lead with Steve Marino (67) and veteran John Huston (66) after the second round,
