Visitor with medical condition missing on Big Island

Big Island police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 23-year-old California man.

Sean Ryan was last seen at a friend's home in the Fern Acres subdivision in upper Puna on Aug. 12. At the time of his disappearance, he may have been wearing white shorts or blue flannel pajama bottoms and likely did not have on a shirt. Police said he suffers from a medical condition for which he should be taking medication.

The missing man is described as 5 foot 10, 160 pounds with a slim build and short blond hair that is curly on top.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Police Department's nonemergency number at 808-935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call CrimeStoppers at 808-961-8300 in Hilo or 808-329-8181 in Kona. All CrimeStoppers information is kept confidential.
