The North Shore Sustainable Communities Plan is undergoing a five-year review and update that will be discussed at a meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Hale'iwa Elementary School cafeteria.

The plan, adopted in 2000, provides conceptual, long-range visions and policies to guide land use and infrastructure decisions for the North Shore.

Plan elements include limiting additional new housing to areas contiguous to Hale'iwa and Waialua towns.
