Breezy weather expected to continue into new week

A high pressure system north of the state will keep moderate to locally breezy trade winds blowing into the middle of the new work week, according to the National Weather Service.

The winds are expected to bring light rain over windward slopes and a few showers in leeward areas in the afternoon, forecasters said.

Here's a closer look at the next few days:

Today, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 82 to 89. East winds 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 69 to 77. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 83 to 90. East winds 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 69 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph and gusty. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 82 to 89. East winds 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
