Dolphins' Mauia has cast on left hand after wrist injury

Advertiser News Services

Rookie fullback Reagan Mauia sported a hard cast on his left hand after a slight navicular fracture of the wrist, which is a bone near the thumb, according to a story at the Miami Dolphins Web site.

Miami coach Cam Cameron said Mauia, a University of Hawai'i alum, will have surgery possibly on Monday and should be in a cast for 4-6 weeks, but once the swelling goes down he can play, even with the cast.
