Iolani hammers Kaiser, 44-0, in prep football

'Iolani did what it wanted, whenever it wanted against Kaiser in the night cap of the Father Bray Classic tonight.

The Raiders' run-and-shoot offense was clicking with quick receivers breaking open and quarterbacks putting the ball where they needed to in the 44-0 victory.

Raiders junior Kela Marciel completed all eight of his passes in the first quarter for 104 yards and two touchdowns as 'Iolani took a 34-0 lead.

"I was just focusing on what I had to do," said Marciel, who was a cornerback in the previous season. "I wanted to complete passes, get touchdowns and get ahead early."

Jarrett Arakawa, a sophomore, replaced Marciel late in the first quarter, and finished 6 of 10 for 103 yards.
