Firefighters kept busy cleaning up after collisions

Advertiser Staff

Firefighters have been called to hose down the intersection of Metcalf Street and University Avenue in Manoa.

Fluids that spilled on to the road surface following a traffic collision have created hazardous conditions, police said.

Traffic signals are also reported to be out of service.

The fire crew was sent to the scene about 5:20 a.m.

Meanwhile, a second fire crew was dispatched to the intersection of Dole Street and St. Louis Drive at 5:30 a.m. to hose down the area because of a fluid spill there resulting from a traffic accident.
