Central Union Church is offering the Alpha Course: Exploring the Meaning of Life and Faith, beginning Sept. 15.

The free 10-class series meets 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturdays to discuss spiritual issues.

MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S CONCERT

"From Generation to Generation," the Midsummer Night's Organ Concert, will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Central Union Church.

The free concert is the 18th annual benefit for the Hawaii chapter of the American Guild of Organists' scholarship program, which provides money for youths to learn to play the organ.

Donations will be accepted at the concert.

It features organists Nyle Hallman and Margaret Lloyd of Central Union Church, John McCreary and John Renke of St. Andrew's Cathedral, Katherine Crosier of the Lutheran Church of Honolulu, and scholarship recipients Joey Fala and Jordan McCreary.

The special guest will be organist Frederick Swann, national president of the American Guild of Organists and a former organist at the Crystal Cathedral and the Riverside Church.

FREE WORKSHOP ON LOMI LOMI

The Hawaiian Ministry Team at St. Andrew's Cathedral will present a free workshop on lomi lomi (Hawaiian massage) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 25 in the cathedral's Von Holt Room.

The presenter will be facilitator Donald Kaiahua, assisted by his wife, Yvonne.

RETURN PROGRAM FOR CATHOLICS

The next session of St. John Vianney's Catholics Returning Home program begins Sept. 18 and runs to Oct. 23.

The sessions, for non-practicing Catholics seeking answers about returning to the church, will be 7:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays in the Parish Center. There also will be an informal discussion and update on the Catholic faith.

The church is at 920 Keolu Drive in Enchanted Lake.
