Earthquakes keep Big Island rockin', rollin'

This past week was a busy one in terms of earthquakes of at least 1.7 in magnitude or greater on the Big Island.There were 34 of them, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The smallest, a 1.7 magnitude temblor, occurred Monday, Aug. 13, about 15 miles east of Pahala.
The largest, assigned a magnitude of 5.4, took place Tuesday, Aug. 14, about 10 miles south-southeast of Hilo.
And the most recent, 2.1 in magnitude, happened Saturday, Aug. 18, about 2 miles northeast of Volcano.
