Sunny and breezy weather expected to last a while

A high pressure area remains north of the state and that will keep the moderate to breezy trade winds blowing through the middle of the week, according to the National Weather Service.

There will be plenty of sun coupled with light rain over windward slopes with a few showers in the afternoon, forecasters said.

Here's a closer look at what to expect during the next few days:

Today, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 83 to 90. East winds 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 69 to 77. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph and gusty. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 82 to 89. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 68 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 82 to 89. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
