Nightwork on Nimitz underway

Overnight work on Nimitz Highway between Kukahi Street and Alakawa Street started today and will continue from 8:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Friday.The state Department of Transportation is closing the road so crews can identify historic inactive petroleum pipelines along Nimitz Highway between Nuuanu Stream and Kapalama Canal and drain any residual oil that may still be contained.
