Autos: NASCAR rained out, to try tomorrow

Advertiser Staff

BROOKLYN, Mich. — The second straight day of rain washed out another effort by NASCAR today to run the 3M Performance 400 Nextel Cup race at Michigan International Speedway.

The race, which was originally scheduled to be run yesterday, was rescheduled for tomorrow.

Officials said it would be the first time in NASCAR's modern era, dating to 1973, that a race has been run on a Tuesday.

The race will be telecast on ESPN2 at 4 a.m. Hawaii time.
